WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR (Night shift)

Dessert Holdings is currently seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to become a part of our dynamic team at our London, Ontario facility. This individual will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and effective processes to support our business objectives.

Core hours will be 9:00pm – 5:30am Tuesday to Saturday.

Position Description:
  • Contributeto the success of the overall supply chain by ensuring the warehouse is organized and all tasks are met on time.
  • Warehouse team scheduling and payroll, as well as coordination and distribution of tasks for all inbound, outbound, and WIP activities.
  • Supervising the safe execution of all warehouse functions, providing support and guidance to all warehouse staff.
  • Ensure that key activities are completed on time and correctly. Consumption and reconciliation, cycle counts, material staging, FIFO etc.
  • Liaise with carriers and supply chain ensuring all inbound and outbound loads are on time.
  • Active participant in the health and safety committee.
  • Participate in audits, inspections, and recall activities.
  • Supervise warehouse performance, including continuous improvement, innovations, and reduction in costs through coaching and developing staff.
  • Ensure warehousing policies and processes are followed.
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
  • Post‑secondary education in Business Administration or other Logistics or Transportation
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Transportation/Distribution/Operations/Warehouse Supervision.
  • Practical knowledge of supply chain and warehouse management (warehouse allocation, production planning, inventory control, materials and resource planning, replenishment, warehousing, and transportation).
  • Proven continuous improvement and change management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to use technology and/or systems for problem solving.
  • Ability to deal with complex problems and multiple levels of communication within the organization.
  • Excellent communication skills in a team environment both written and verbal.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
  • Knowledge of warehouse systems
  • Knowledge of Asset Management, Transportation management, Warehouse Management, Information Management
  • Experience in planning operations including process flow.
  • Managing supplier relationships
  • Power Equipment certification
