The Opportunity

The mission of the Production Assistant is to ensure all production departments are well-supported and able to maintain a high level of output. Based at our Kelowna facility on Stremel Road, you will play an integral role in a production team focused on injection moulding and printing sustainable phone cases. You will need a keen eye for detail, a passion for working with your hands, an eagerness to learn new skills, and a strong commitment to meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities
  • Stage raw materials for injection molding
  • Operate raw material dryers for injection molding
  • Blend raw materials for injection molding
  • Maintain accurate records of material usage
  • Regrind raw materials accurately and safely
  • Maintain and clean the grinder
  • Sort, organize, and re-stock WIP inventory shelves
  • Stage WIP inventory for printing
  • Remove defective products from the production floor
  • Keep defective products organized
  • Enter inventory data for WIP and finished goods
  • Sweep, organize supplies, and dispose of garbage
  • Assist with monthly inventory counts
  • Maintain a safe and clean workspace
  • Assist team members as needed
  • Ensure the safe operation of all equipment and follow all safety protocols
  • Collaborate with peers and management to improve facility operations and promote a teamwork-focused environment
