Job summary

Status: Part-Time

Schedule: Part-time at 3 days a week for warehouse / delivery / driver; could become full-time with additional food service work or more delivery days

Wage: $18.72 / hour

Job Duties

• Verify each delivery against the invoice, note discrepancies or damages to product.
• Follow FIFO when stocking new deliveries.
• Work may be performed outdoors in all weather for 12 months of the year.

Position Responsibilities

• Loads outbound trucks with picked product in an accurate and efficient manner, ensuring loads are stable and secure.
• Shuts delivery vehicles as required to perform loading tasks.
• Performs inventory counts of the warehouse.
• Observes, reports and corrects unsafe and unsanitary conditions that could cause accidents.
• Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Performs related requests, tasks and processes as required by operations supervisor / manager.
• Complies with Section 28 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required

• Ability to work any shift including weekends.
• Ability to read and perform basic math; proficient in English (verbal and written).
• Knowledge of warehouse layout and inbound/outbound processes.
• Safety rules and procedures knowledge.
• Ability to lift and stack pallets; lifting up to 40-50 lbs frequently and 60 lbs occasionally.
• Experience with warehouse equipment (e.g., motorized pallet jack, hi-lift).
• Ability to reach, bend, twist, stoop and lift as required.
• Ability to meet production standards; extensive training with a passing final exam is required.
• Effective communication with supervisors and department managers; computer skills are an asset.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education / Training: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Experience: 1-3 years warehouse or equivalent preferred.
• Class “G” Driver’s License
