Position Description

At a Glance

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Associate to join the Electrical Wiring Systems Team in Vaughan, ON. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing operational duties as required. Working areas include order picking, inventory replenishment, and assisting within receiving and returns departments as required. The Warehouse Associate is expected to work in the safest, most efficient and effective manner to ensure performance targets are met daily, and to maintain effective relationships with all team members.

What Will You Do?
  • Responsible for efficiently and effectively performing the duties of a warehouse associate as described by the Distribution Team Leader
  • Maintain effective relationships with all other team members and staff
  • Pick orders via RF scanning device as directed while following the Distribution Center SOPs
  • Replenish inventory via RF scanning device as directed while following the Distribution Center SOPs
  • Escalate to the Team Leader as required to ensure SOPs are followed
  • Work overtime as necessary to ensure customer commitments are met on a consistent basis
Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Completion of post-secondary education would be an asset.

Experience:

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a distribution or warehouse environment
  • Previous experience using RF scanning devices, and WMS software/hardware

  • Must be safety focused
  • Possess time management skills
  • Dependable and consistent
  • Strong English language communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong sense of urgency and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Demonstrates excellent teamwork skills
  • Knowledge and ability to use distribution-related equipment, e.g., manual pump truck
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
  • Must be available for OT as required
