Position Overview

As a product specialist, you act as a bridge between the Canadian Equities investment team and the broader firm as well as our clients and partners. Acting as a subject-matter expert on the group’s products, your role is a key contributor to asset retention and gathering initiatives. We are looking for an experienced professional who brings positivity, passion, and a strong team-first attitude.

You will serve as a subject-matter expert on the Canadian Equities team’s products to support the team and internal stakeholders. You will be responsible for analytics and messaging across the group’s products. You will contribute to the strategic roadmap for the group’s products and partner with Canadian equity investment professionals to help build and refine team infrastructure and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently gather, analyze, and interpret information from multiple sources on the group’s products
  • Summarize complex data and concepts into clear communications intended for both internal and external audiences, such as monthly and quarterly client commentaries
  • Communicate team’s views across a variety of deliverables (commentaries, white papers, review presentations, client inquiries, etc.)
  • Partner with senior members to refine team processes, enhance workflows, and ultimately optimize the research and portfolio management function
  • Support distribution channels by proactively providing analytics, key messaging, marketing support and responding to ad-hoc requests
  • Contribute to product roadmap development for the Canadian equity franchise, with an emphasis on positioning, competitive landscape, pricing, and product innovation
Requirements
  • 10+ years experience preferably in an institutional or product role with strong knowledge of investment portfolios and capital markets
  • Undergraduate degree in business / finance or related preferred
  • CFA designation strongly preferred
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel with intermediate capabilities : vlookups, formulas, pivot tables, and graphs)
  • Experience with investment platforms and analytics tools such as Bloomberg, Eikon, eVestment, Morningstar
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively across teams
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and intellectual curiosity
  • Excellent organizational, time-management and multitasking abilities, with the ability to pivot efficiently between priorities
  • High attention to detail and consistency in materials provided to clients and internal stakeholders
