Vice-Principal, Finance

Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Principal and a member of the Senior Leadership Team, serve as UCC’s chief financial officer, providing strategic and operational leadership of all finance functions, including the College’s Foundations.
  • Support multiple board committees and ensure fiscal sustainability in alignment with the College’s mission, strategic priorities, and Campus Master Plan.
  • Lead strategic financial analysis and leadership across financial operations and compliance, audit, Foundation oversight (including endowment reporting and investment transactions), governance and board reporting, risk management and insurance, banking relationships, financial assistance for students, procurement, and contract oversight.
  • Foster a service-oriented, collaborative, and inclusive leadership style; mobilize and build strong relationships with team members, constituents, and partners.
Qualifications
  • Degree in finance, accounting, or business administration; Chartered Professional Accountant designation; ideally an advanced degree and/or additional certifications.
  • Progressive record of successful financial management and leadership in educational institutions or other public/non-profit organizations; or equivalent private-sector leadership with governance in public/non-profit sectors.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills; ability to think strategically, operate with a long-term view, and maintain calm under pressure.
