Job Description
The successful candidate will oversee the Teacher Certification Program in Spanish and will teach four courses per semester, including Hispanic Linguistics, Grammar, Phonetics and Phonology, Methods in Foreign Language Instruction, Spanish for Heritage Speakers, etc., as well as lower-level Spanish courses. Candidates must hold a PhD in Hispanic/Spanish Linguistics by the time of appointment. The candidate will be expected to be a quality teacher, mentor, and collegial citizen of the academy, to be demonstrated through a variety of student learning outcomes, and service on local and professional committees.
