Join the Volunteer Centre of Calgary as a Virtual Coach and Mentor. This role involves supporting young students in Grades 1-6 through virtual fitness and literacy sessions. Volunteers will help build children's confidence and passion for learning, while developing their own leadership and planning skills in a rewarding environment.

A S2F Virtual Coach plays a significant role in encouraging children weekly to achieve positive change physically, mentally, and emotionally through fitness and literacy. Coaches help build confidence and motivation within children, while reducing learning gaps and developing a lifelong love of learning.We’re looking for reliable, tech-savvy volunteers to support students in Grades 1–6 through virtual sessions. As a Virtual Volunteer, you’ll help create a fun, inclusive, and consistent online learning space where kids feel seen and supported. Join us in creating real impact—one virtual session at a time!Details:- October to May (fall and winter term only available)- 30-40 minute sessions 2x/week (Tues/Wed/Thurs)- flexible timing, between 3:30-6:30pm EST- 10-12 participants and 2-3 volunteer coaches per group- Sessions include fitness, literacy & mentoring activities, with emphasis on building character strengths- An easy-to-use virtual platform to facilitate programmingIf you are interested, please apply on our volunteer portal: https://timecounts.app/start2finish/applications/da9c982b-5106-4aa8-9650-d8e908fac3b6Please note while this is a virtual opportunity, volunteers must be located in Canada.
