Veterinary Assistant Location: Guelph, ON Part-time position

Kortright Animal Hospital is welcoming apart-time,dependable, caring, and motivated Client Care, Veterinary Assistant to join our team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an organized and empathetic individual who enjoys working with both people and animals. You'll play a vital role in both the front-facing client experience and the hands-on care of our patients.


In this position, you will be supporting our team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients.In this role, you will:

  • Create a warm and welcoming environment for pet parents and their companions

  • Put clients and patients at ease with excellent customer service and communication skills

  • Assist with patient care and treatment

  • Prepare invoices, process payments and create treatment plans

  • Support the veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the hospital, including reception area, exam rooms and common areas

  • Help ensure a low-stress experience for patients and adapt to changing needs

  • Take initiative, work both independently and as part of a team

  • Maintain a compassionate, nurturing attitude toward all animals

  • Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Office Administration program certificate is an asset.
