We are looking for a Veterinarian to join our small, privately-owned veterinary clinic, located in Prince George, BC. We work with both domestic and exotic animals at our clinic, so our vets need to be ready for anything, including conducting thorough physical examinations of animals, diagnosing and treating illness and injuries, performing surgeries, administering vaccinations and medications, and providing preventative care. We believe animal wellness is a team effort, so we also need doctors who can educate pet owners on proper animal care and nutrition, collaborate with veterinary technicians and other staff members, and of course, keep meticulous medical records. Don’t worry - you’re not alone. We offer mentoring with a dedicated Doctor working side by side with you and a program for onboarding where we focus on 4 components: communication, surgery, medicine and systems/operations and flow. The combination of mentorship with the program will set you up to practice, confidently. We do require all veterinarians hold a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree as well as have, or be eligible to have, a veterinary license in BC. Previous experience is a benefit, but we're happy to have new graduates join our team as well. As long as you have strong surgical and diagnostic skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, can work independently and as part of a team, and most importantly, are genuinely passionate about high-quality, compassionate care for animals, we'd love to hear from you!
Please note that additional skills may be required based on the specific needs of our practice, but we are always happy to hear fromdedicated Veterinarians, looking for an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of animals.
