The successful candidate will play an important role in diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues. Mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, communication and a positive attitude will contribute to the overall success of this role!

Roles & Responsibilities:

vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately

Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain, and upgrade

Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts, etc.) aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity

Schedule future maintenance sessions and advise motorist on good vehicle use

Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues (e.g. leaks)

Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job

Communicate with the supervisor on a regular basis about work performed, necessary changes, new parts needed, or any other concerns related to repair or maintenance work on vehicles

Qualifications:

• Red Seal certified Mechanic license
• Safety certifications are an asset (First Aid, Fall Arrest, WHMIS, etc.)
• 3+ years of experience working in a mechanic shop
• Valid driver's license
• Experience entering service records accurately and on time
• Strong customer service skills
