A leading waste management company in Kelowna is seeking a Truck and Transport Mechanic Apprentice to perform minor repairs and preventive maintenance. The ideal candidate will be registered in the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of their apprenticeship program with no prior experience required. This role offers a competitive pay rate and various benefits including medical and dental insurance.
Pay Rate : Apprentices earn a percentage of the Licensed Mechanic rate of $43.62 / h based on experience : 2nd year – 85%, 3rd year – 90%, 4th year – 95%. Your pay increases as you advance, reflecting your skills and growth.
Shift : Monday to Friday 12PM-8PM

Works under direct supervision and follows established procedures to accomplish assigned tasks. Performs minor repairs and limited preventive maintenance (PM) on assigned equipment.

The expected base pay range for this position is $37.08 / h - $41.44 / h. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
