What you''ll get to do
  • Assisting with court transcription orders.
  • Inputting important information into databases (e.g., transcription requests, due dates, and information related to audio recordings and transcriptionists).
  • Downloading and checking new incoming jobs (e.g., confirming correct audio and time estimates).
  • Receiving Parole Board requests.
  • Receiving, downloading, and reviewing audio, paperwork, and other files.
  • Accepting work requests from transcriptionists.
  • Assigning work to transcriptionists and uploading associated files.
  • Receiving completed transcripts and reviewing for completion.
  • Creating PDF transcripts and other necessary files.
  • Sending completed transcripts and associated files to requestors and other entities.
  • Communicating with transcriptionists, including answering questions and providing constructive feedback as necessary.
  • Having knowledge of all transcription contracts and acting as a resource for transcriptionists regarding quality standards and contract requirements.
  • Advising the billing department of page counts.

  • Ability to communicate with all members of the public, government personnel, transcriptionists, and clients.
  • Ability to adhere to stringent standards dictated by various contracts.
  • Knowledge of numerous programs, including Access, Word, PDF, Excel is an asset.
  • Ability to use multiple platforms (e.g., Airtable, Vision, government websites).
  • Be courteous and helpful to all office staff, and any outside parties, including clients.
  • Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous customer service experience is an asset.
