As a Health Centre Security Guard, there is a high focus on customer service since you will be working with people all shift. We have two different locations in Steinbach and Winkler, Manitoba.Please note this is a temporary position for internal GardaWorld employees living in Winnipeg. Temporary coverage is starting as soon as possible and only going until further notice or if we hire a local candidate.

Open Permanent Positions in Steinbach (candidates have to be available to work all shifts for the temporary permanent position)

• P1 Mon-Fri 0700-1500
• P2 Mon-Fri 1500-2300
• P3 Mon-Fri 2300-0700
• P4 Sat/Sun 0700-1900
• P5 Sat/Sun 1900-0700

• $51.7 mileage paid per shift

Open Permanent Positions in Winkler (candidates have to be available to work all shifts for the temporary permanent position)

• P1: x2 openings 14/14 0700-1900
• P2: x2 openings 14/14 1900-0700
• Hotel Accommodations Available
• $110 mileage paid per rotation and $45 per day for food

Responsibilities for Health Centre Security Guard

• Patrol sensitive areas (interior/exterior) to deter and detect suspicious activity.
• Manage access control and identity verification for secure zones.
• Respond promptly to alarms, site codes, and incidents; take appropriate action to stabilize situations.
• Monitor and verify proper operation of protection systems (CCTV, alarms), and conduct on-site checks.
• De-escalate conflicts professionally and maintain order while upholding property rules and by-laws.
• Liaise with law enforcement and emergency responders during serious incidents.
• Communicate clearly via radio and in person with clients, visitors, and team members.
• Document incidents, observations, and actions taken through accurate reports and logs.
• Perform proactive patrols and lock/unlock routines to maintain safety and security

Qualifications for Health Centre Security Guard

• MB Security Guard licence (or eligible) and legal right to work in Canada.
• Security/protective services or high-volume customer service in an asset
• Access control & ID verification; clear radio communication.
• Strong situational awareness; rapid response to alarms/codes; confident de-escalation.
• Solid report writing (incident/DAR/maintenance); basic CCTV/alarm/access-control proficiency.
• Fit for patrols (standing/walking/stairs); available nights/weekends/holidays; professional with clients and emergency services.
• Reliable vehicle to travel to the rural locations
