A governmental organization in Yukon is seeking a Technology Infrastructure Specialist to manage IT projects and maintain critical technology infrastructure. The ideal candidate will hold a diploma in computer science and have extensive experience with network management, server administration, and leadership. This full-time role involves working onsite in an office environment and may occasionally require travel. A valid driver's license and security clearance are also necessary.

Technology infrastructure represents all information technology (IT) products and solutions that function together to enable effective management, administration and monitoring of Yukon Education's critical IT infrastructure including networks (wired and wireless network equipment, network configurations), systems (e.g. physical and virtual application and database servers, appliances) and services (Active Directory, email, internet applications, data bases).
The Technology Infrastructure Specialist provides senior technical expertise for the broad range of strategic integrated network, systems and services architecture within the complex Yukon Education technology infrastructure. The position is responsible for designing, building, configuring, testing, documenting, implementing, integrating and maintaining the various components that comprise a cohesive technology infrastructure. The incumbent is a technology infrastructure team leader for multiple network, systems and services improvement/upgrade projects, as well as providing operational support, technical expertise/advice and fault investigation and resolution.
