Position: Process Technician

The Process Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment, including pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems, to minimize downtime. All activities must comply with safety standards and applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring safety standards are met according to corporate and plant policies
  • Participating in process optimization of production equipment
  • Enhancing the knowledge of mechanic-operators for production equipment monitoring
  • Monitoring and ensuring proper functioning of blow molding machines
  • Participating in projects related to process improvements, new equipment, or modifications
  • Supporting the development and production of new products
  • Developing skills of assemblers at the process and quality problem-solving levels
  • Performing start-up of existing products as needed
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure continuous and optimal work performance
  • Adhering to quality control procedures and company policies
  • Performing other tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements and skills:

  • Technical training (DEC, DEP, AEC) in mechanical engineering, instrumentation, or related fields
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience with extrusion blow molding and injection blow molding processes
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of electricity, pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanics, and programmable logic controllers (PLC)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Resourcefulness in troubleshooting and general maintenance
  • CRA or CE competency card is an asset
