Overview

Surveying Instrument Technician in Ville Saint-Laurent. This is a permanent position with a company specializing in the skilled trades sector. The role involves maintaining, calibrating, and preparing surveying instruments used by clients. The successful candidate will join a professional team and contribute to the company\'s success.

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance, calibration, and repair of measuring equipment such as total stations, optical levels, lasers, GPS systems, and more.
  • Collaborate with the team to improve work procedures and ensure service quality.
  • Interact with clients to understand their needs and provide them with first-rate technical support.
  • Accurately document work performed and prepare the necessary calibration certificates.
  • Manage and track instruments in the workshop to ensure efficient and organized workflow.
  • Assist the shipping team and perform other related tasks to ensure smooth workshop operations.
Qualifications
  • Relevant experience in maintenance or calibration of measuring instruments.
  • Strong technical knowledge in electronics, precision mechanics, or optics (an asset).
  • DEP (Diploma of Vocational Studies) in electromechanics or a relevant field.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good logical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
  • Autonomy in tasks with strong team spirit.
  • Bilingual (French and English) is an important asset for client communication.
