A major mining company is seeking a Technician in Information Technology for its office in Mirabel, QC. The candidate will assist in technical support, manage IT inventory, and maintain hardware and software systems. Required qualifications include a College Diploma in Information Technology and 1 to 3 years of experience in IT customer support. Knowledge of MS Windows, networking, and printer configurations is essential. A full-time schedule of 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday is offered.

Reporting to the Supervisor, Information Technology, you will be part of the Technology and Business Intelligence Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
Respond to requests for technical IT assistance in person, via phone, and electronically;
Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues;
Research questions using available information resources;
Advise user on appropriate action;
Follow standard help desk procedures;
Log interactions and administer help desk software;
Identify and escalate situations to IT Analysts if technically complex or if it requires urgent attention;
Maintain the IT inventory by ordering and receiving the materials;
Maintain the division’s printers fleet;
Create and maintain user accounts;
Configure Cisco IP phones and voice mailboxes;
Configure switch port / vlan over Cisco and HP Switches;
Help the Telecommunication Specialist in Fiber Optics and RJ45 termination;
Act as a technical advisor for Social Events (Bingo, Christmas, etc);
Configure WiFi aps;
Deploy, updates, maintain and configure computer fleets (IT/OT).
College Diploma in Information Technology;
1 to 3 years of experience in Information Technology Customer Support;
Mastering of MS Windows and MS Office Suites;
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft SCCM;
Excellent knowledge of Xerox and HP printers;
Strong knowledge of networking and VLAN configuration;
Strong knowledge of PC hardware and software;
Knowledge in audio/video installation are considered an asset.
Note that the official working language at our Nunavut operations is English.
Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday at our office in Mirabel, QC.
