Responsibilities
  • Process purchase order requests
  • Create purchase orders in the enterprise resource planning (ERP) software and send them to suppliers
  • Ensure the firm’s various projects are properly charged
  • Follow up on open purchase orders with requesters
  • Monitor costs and the budget for some corporate projects
  • Support the firm's various departments in requesting quotes to purchase goods and services and, if necessary, negotiate with suppliers
  • Each year, review agreements and prices for certain suppliers and maintain good relationships with them
  • Every month, reconcile transactions that were paid using corporate credit cards in the Procurement department
  • Perform annual assessments of our corporate suppliers
  • Help continually improve procurement methods, tools, procedures and systems

Overview of certifications and job requirements
  • Specialized graduate degree, university certificate or college diploma in Procurement or Administration, or any other combination of equivalent training
  • At least five years of experience in procurement or any other relevant experience
  • Good knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Advanced level of English to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients in English‑speaking Canadian provinces and internationally. The frequency of English use may range from occasional to daily, depending on ongoing projects
  • Advanced level of French to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients in Québec.
  • Asset: knowledge of an ERP such as Maconomy
  • Asset: experience with expediting and logistics
