This role is a unique opportunity within the Records & GIS team at Enbridge Gas Distribution (EGD) to lead a highly skilled team of asset records and Geographic Information System (GIS) professionals in addition to coordinating contractual relationships with local and international GIS professionals. This role will give you the opportunity to manage a team. You and your team will be accountable for the integrity of technical records in Maximo and GIS that are critical for the safe, reliable, and efficient management of our distribution and transmission assets.

What You Will Do
  • Lead and support a team of Records CADD Technicians to ensure operational efficiency and timely record updates in accordance with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with assigned contractors including establishment of statements of work, validation and processing of invoices, assignment of work, quality control and acceptance of assigned work, and process documentation
  • Review and maintain timeliness and quality control statistics for work assignments completed by direct reports and assigned contractor resources
  • Identify and resolve technical record related issues and support the resolution of queries and process issues for direct reports and contractor resources
  • Provide subject matter expertise, technical consultation, and training support, as required, for both record interpretation and software usability
  • Provide recommendations to improve efficiencies in records management including the top tier of cross departmental teams
  • Assist in the change management process for changes to processes and technologies
Who You Are
  • Related university degree in GIS or a similar technical field and minimum of five or more years of experience OR equivalent combination of formal education, certification and experience
  • Proficient with Maximo, GIS, SAP and Microsoft Office applications
  • Interested in developing your people leadership skills
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, communication, and facilitation skills
  • Solid understanding of GDS records including Street Service Tickets, Miscellaneous Tickets, Field Notes, As-Laid Drawings, Atlas Plates, Service Sketches, Construction and Maintenance Job Cards
  • Work experience in Distribution Operations, Construction, Work Management and / or Capital Project Planning
  • Working experience with relevant Company policies (standards, procedures, processes) such as Construction and Maintenance, and Planning, Design, and Records
  • Working experience with quality control and acceptance of work completed in Maximo and GIS
  • Preferred: Gas Pipeline Inspector qualification
  • Office environment and travel requirements: A valid Ontario “G” Drivers license, a reliable vehicle and maintenance of a responsible driving record is required; Minimal travel to Enbridge regions / office locations
