Company Overview

Established in 1952 as a family business, FBC has grown to become one of Canada’s largest tax and financial consulting firms for small businesses. With 12 branches across the country, we support over 15,000 entrepreneurs and small business owners, including farmers, construction contractors, skilled trades, and self‑employed professionals. A membership goes beyond a single tax filing and is a long‑term partnership, helping members save over 22 million dollars through year‑round collaboration on optimal tax strategies and planning.

Position Overview

As a Tax Advisor, you will meet with FBC Members in their place of business to understand their financial situation and provide tailored tax strategies that minimize taxes in both the short and long term. You will also introduce them to our full range of services — bookkeeping, legal assistance, payroll, and access to financial and estate planning professionals — supporting their needs in areas such as estate planning, retirement planning, and cash flow management.

This is a client‑facing, impact‑driven role ideal for professionals dedicated to building relationships, solving problems, and delivering real value. We’re driven by a commitment to supporting those who work tirelessly to power our economy and strengthen our communities.

This position is based out of our FBC London location and requires onsite work as needed.

Travel is a core component of this role; you will conduct in‑person visits with members at their place of business and maintain strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional tax and accounting advice to Members.
  • Review and file complex personal (T1) and corporate (T2) income tax returns.
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies for a variety of clients, including farm and small business owners.
  • Meet with members in their place of business and serve as their primary contact for key accounts.
  • Conduct Member reviews.
  • Support seasonal and year‑round reconciliations and filings, including GST/HST, T1, T2, and other applicable tax returns.
  • Foster strong relationships with Members and secure Member referrals.
  • Recognize Member needs and connect them with our other domain experts within the company and network.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
