Qualifications

• Clean criminal background and Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Federal Reliability Security Clearance.
• Physically capable of standing, walking, and patrolling for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the care, custody, and control of detainees in a secure detention environment.
• Conduct regular detainee welfare and safety checks at required intervals.
• Monitor detainee behaviour and identify potential risks.
• Assist with the safe escorting and movement of detainees within secure areas.
• Control access to secure areas and maintain perimeter security.

Despite being aprimarily observational and supervisory role,thisrequires physical stamina, attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage high-responsibility environments such as detention areas, securefacilitiesand other critical sites.

This position requires the ability to remain composed and professional in challenging environments, including occasions of verbal hostility. GardaWorld provides training and support to help employees safely manage difficult interactions.

This is an on-call position with no guaranteed hours.We will do our best to accommodate your schedules.

Responsibilities for Tactical Guard

• Maintain the care, custody, and control of detainees in a secure detention environment
• Conduct regular detainee welfare and safety checks at required intervals
• Monitor detainee behaviour and identify potential risks, medical concerns, or self-harm indicators
• Assist with the safe escorting and movement of detainees within secure areas
• Control access to secure areas and maintain perimeter security
• Search for and prevent the introduction of contraband in accordance with policy
• Accurately complete logs, reports, and required documentation

Qualifications for Tactical Guard

Clean criminal background and Vulnerable Sector Check

Ability to obtain andmaintainFederal Reliability Security Clearance (Permanent Canadian resident for a minimum of 5 yearsrequired)

Valid First Aid and CPR Level C (Red Cross, St. John Ambulance, or Heart & Stroke)

Physically capable of standing,walkingand patrolling for extended periods
