Overview

Are you ready to play a mission-critical role in shaping the future of flight? As a Sr. Systems Stress Analyst, you’ll be the go-to expert ensuring the structural integrity and certification of some of the most advanced aircraft systems in the world—and how they seamlessly integrate into the airframe. This isn’t just a technical position; it’s a high-impact role where your engineering expertise, problem-solving skills, and ability to think ahead will directly influence the safety, reliability, and success of our next-generation aircraft. You’ll dive into everything from avionics racks and wire harness supports to flight control linkages and battery thermal management systems—making sure our designs don’t just fly, but fly with absolute confidence.

Responsibilities
  • Lead detailed stress analysis across metallic and composite systems using both FEA and classical hand calculations—covering static strength, stability, fatigue, and damage tolerance.
  • Own the structural substantiation for a wide range of systems:
  • Avionics & Electrical: racks, EWIS supports, and power electronics mounts.
  • Mechanical & Cabin: control surface linkages, dampers, actuators, and ECS ducting.
  • Propulsion & Energy Storage: engine mounts, fuel systems, and thermal management for high-energy batteries.
  • Airframe Integration: FTI, sensors, and critical attachment hardware.
  • Partner with Design, M&P, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Test teams across the entire product lifecycle.
  • Craft and present certification-ready stress reports and technical documentation for TCCA, FAA, and EASA.
  • Mentor and guide other engineers through complex analysis and systems integration challenges.
Qualifications
  • A BS in Aerospace, Mechanical, or related engineering (MS a plus).
  • 10+ years of structural stress analysis experience in aerospace (aircraft, rotorcraft, or spacecraft).
  • Mastery of FEA with tools like Nastran, LS-Dyna, and preprocessors (FEMAP preferred, Patran, Hypermesh).
  • Strong foundation in classical methods (Bruhn, Niu, Roark) for metallic and composite structures.
  • Hands-on experience with Siemens NX for design interrogation and model creation.
