Overview

Join to apply for the Surveillance Operator - Great Canadian Casino Vancouver role at Great Canadian Entertainment.

This position, under the general direction of the Supervisor, Surveillance, is responsible for monitoring interior and exterior areas of a property by closed circuit television cameras and maintaining visual records. It ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures and supports a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor interior and exterior areas via CCTV, document and report violations, large cash transactions, excluded guests and unauthorized access; report to the Supervisor, Surveillance.
  • Maintain logs and records.
  • Communicate effectively with all appropriate operational departments.
  • Build strong working relationships with guests and team members.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed.
Qualifications
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays and overnights.
  • Must be comfortable working 10 hour shifts and straight overnight shifts.
  • Post secondary education in criminology or a suitable combination of education and experience is an asset.
  • Experience in security or surveillance is an asset.
  • Serving it Right Certification.
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License.
Work Environment Considerations
  • Regular office environment, non-traditional work hours will be required.
