Job summary

A community support organization is seeking Support Workers in Southwestern Ontario. You'll play a crucial role in helping individuals with disabilities achieve their life goals through daily support and community engagement. Ideal candidates should possess well-developed interpersonal skills and have a clear understanding of working with diverse individuals. A Certificate III in Individual Support or similar qualification is a plus. Location: Kalamunda - High Wycombe

Hourly Range: $27.35 to $34.78 (plus Super plus NFP Salary Packaging)

genU is looking for Support workers who can team up with our customers to help them unleash their full potential. You will be making a real impact by helping people with disabilities through accommodation and community engagement.

Please review the roster pattern to ensure you can work the shifts before applying.

What you’ll do
  • Support person-centred plans that identify a customer’s life goals and working to achieve them
  • Join customers in the community and do recreational activities
  • Support customers in daily living skills such as meal preparation, housekeeping, showering and toileting, medication administration and attending appointments
  • Ensure positive behaviour support plans are followed; and
  • Administration duties and mandatory reporting
What you’ll bring
  • Well developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships;
  • Ability to follow Person Centred plans and assist people to achieve their goals and outcomes;
  • An understanding and enthusiasm for working alongside people with disabilities;
  • A valid drivers licence and willingness to use your private vehicle (aligned with genU motor vehicle allowance rebate).
Bonus points for
  • Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability or Higher [CHC,CHC,CHC,CHC]
