MATERNITY LEAVE CONTRACT FOR 13-MONTHS
Summary

Responsible for processing inbound shipments for Int'l Air customers as well as arranging outbound consolidations for Int'l Air customers. Also responsible for co-ordinating with warehouse for Int'l Oceean Export container loading. Also responsible for assisting with duties related to document preparation and warehouse coordination required to correctly process inbound/outbound consolidations in a cost-efficient manner and within defined standards. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values.

Typical Responsibilities
  • Receive, review, and process inbound/outbound documentation for assigned accounts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and customer commitments.
  • Process documents through established systems and update related CEVA platforms to maintain timely and compliant transactions.
  • Enter all relevant data for consolidations and ensure documents reach the branch within one working day of freight arrival.
  • Review all entries, invoices, and client packages prior to distribution.
  • Assist in onboarding new accounts, including reviewing documentation, maintaining client profiles and databases, and ensuring regular process reviews.
  • Ensure customer profile information is accurately entered and updated in company systems.
  • Provide written quotations as requested and maintain records of communications.
  • Manage pre-alerts daily to confirm freight arrival and timely receipt of required documents.
  • Contact origin offices, vendors, and customers regarding incomplete information, shipment status, delays, or missing details.
  • Follow up with carriers to confirm arrival times and notify customers of status.
  • Obtain government agency releases, arrange delivery and receipt, and invoice accounts as required.
  • Process Customs and Other Government Agency (OGA) releases, cargo delivery, and invoicing per company and customer standards.
  • Identify and expedite transactions requiring special handling to ensure compliance.
  • Investigate delays, problems, or irregularities and advise the supervisor promptly.
  • Customer Service
  • Provide excellent and timely service by keeping clients informed of shipment status and resolving inquiries effectively.
  • Expand knowledge of processes and systems through self-study and approved training.
  • Improve proficiency in system features and maintain high service standards for internal and external customers.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine correspondence.
  • Capable of communicating and interacting effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds and ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • PC literate. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using units of CAD currency, weight, volume and distance measurements.
  • Accurate typing skills and/or data entry skills.
  • Gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
  • Balances team and individual responsibilities, exhibits objectivity and openness to others' views.
  • Consistently at work and on time.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
Minimum
  • Associate’s Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Customs Compliance, or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 4 to 6 years related experience.
Preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation, Operations or Supply Chain Management or equivalent education and experience.
