The Manager, Supply Chain will be responsible for improving internal and external customer satisfaction by maintaining control and accuracy over inventories, including all functions related to procurement, MRP, production planning, costing, warehousing, receiving, and shipping. The role ensures that customer orders are fulfilled on time and that the production schedule exceeds company goals for OTD/TAT, PPV, and inventory management.
Responsibilities
- Manage the MPS (Master Production Schedule) to meet the demand plan and develop detailed production schedules for each workshop.
- Oversee the execution of the Material Requirement Plan (MRP).
- Lead the procurement team to achieve MRP objectives, including managing supplier relationships, developing long-term agreements, and overseeing supplier performance and contracts.
- Review and approve purchase orders, ensuring policy compliance, and negotiate prices.
- Lead cost management initiatives, including cost improvement plans, understanding manufacturing cost drivers, and participating in budgeting and CAPEX reviews.
- Control inventory levels, ensuring sufficient stock to meet needs, maintaining accurate records, and optimizing inventory levels.
- Develop and maintain processes for receipt, storage, and shipment of materials.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in purchasing, planning, and inventory management.
- Manage the Supply Chain team to meet departmental and organizational goals, document and mitigate risks, and foster continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- University Degree or College Diploma in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain, Purchasing, or Materials Management, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Experience with ERP systems (MRP II) in manufacturing.
- Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and motivational skills.
- Lean and Continuous Improvement project experience (Green Belt or equivalent).
- Experience in Electronics Manufacturing.
