Job summary

A leading supply chain organization in Halifax is looking for a Supply Chain Analyst to ensure materials flow seamlessly through the supply chain. You will maintain material availability, optimize inventory levels, and support production schedules. The ideal candidate has a post-secondary degree in Business Administration or Engineering, along with 3–5 years of experience in supply chain management. This full-time position requires an in-office presence.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years in supply chain or inventory management.
  • Professional certifications (CITT, SCMP, P.Log, PMP) considered an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain and inventory management principles.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex variables to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Aggregate demand requirements and assign supply priorities to ensure material availability.
  • Generate routine reports to detect and resolve issues proactively.
  • Execute strategic material planning initiatives and improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with procurement, production, logistics, and planning teams.
  • Represent the Materials team in meetings, providing updates on material performance.

As a Supply Chain Analyst, you’ll be at the heart of ensuring materials flow seamlessly through our supply chain. Your mission: maintain material availability, optimize inventory levels, and support production schedules to meet customer demand. This role combines strategic thinking with hands‑on execution, offering opportunities to collaborate across teams and contribute to critical project milestones.

Qualifications
  • Post‑secondary degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline (preferred).
  • 3–5 years in supply chain or inventory management.
  • Professional certifications (CITT, SCMP, P.Log, PMP, etc.) considered an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain and inventory management principles.

Due to the nature of work Irving Shipbuilding does, all successful applicants must meet requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Please note this position requires a full‑time, in‑office presence.

  • Aggregate demand requirements and assign supply priorities to ensure material availability across operations.
  • Generate routine reports to detect and resolve issues proactively; maintain system data integrity and track KPIs.
  • Execute strategic material planning initiatives and improvement projects, ensuring timely and cost‑effective delivery.
  • Collaborate with procurement, production, logistics, and planning teams to achieve zero‑late and zero‑defect performance.
  • Represent the Materials team in meetings, providing updates on material performance and issue resolution.
