DEPARTMENT: Packaging Facility - Downtown Frankfort (1123 Main Street building)

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for providing supervision and guidance to all hourly production workers working within the Main Street Packaging Facility. This includes coordinating hourly worker schedules, supervising the manufacturing of goods, and ensuring all workers adhere to corporate policies and procedures. In addition, they should be able to operate all production equipment and assist in troubleshooting operating issues.

Consistently meet or exceed production and/or packaging targets through the effective use of appropriate personnel in the various operation processes.

Job Duties:

  • Ensures all employees follow policies and procedures in accordance with Safety and Legality.
  • Validate the work of subordinate employees and ensure daily tasks are completed.
  • Manage the setup and completion of production jobs according to a defined schedule.
  • Ensure inventory of materials and finished goods is accurate and available for production.
  • Assist in identifying problems related to production process and work to resolve issues.
  • Suggests improvements to process to reduce waste and increase productivity.
  • Conducts risk assessments identifying and eliminating potential safety hazards in the plant.
  • Good understanding of all Manufacturing equipment and able to train production employees.
  • Ensures training records are maintained and available.
  • Coordinate and approve hourly employee PTO and Sick time.
  • Manage and submit timecard data for payroll.
  • Assists in the documentation, preparation, and delivery of employee discipline.
  • Authors procedures and work instructions to document Standard Work.
  • Manages key projects as directed by the Plant Manager.
Education and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of leadership in a Manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of leadership and capable mentor.
  • Food Industry and HACCP/PCQI experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, computer and communications skills (both verbal and written).
  • Be a self-starter who works with a sense of urgency and acts as a good team player working with other disciplines.
