A healthcare facility in Ontario is seeking a Supervisor for Maintenance and Plant Operations. This role includes overseeing repairs and maintenance of building systems, supervising staff, and conducting performance evaluations. The ideal candidate should have at least five years of maintenance experience and a relevant certificate. The Supervisor – Maintenance and Plant Operations will oversee the maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), carpentry, painting, and other building systems. The supervisor is responsible for providing supervision to the maintenance department staff and participating in full scope HR functions including but not limited to participation in the hiring and training of maintenance team members, in the planning and overseeing of maintenance team schedules and the work of the maintenance staff and the efficient processing of payroll responsibilities.
This role will provide input into and be responsible for conducting staff performance evaluations that are timely and constructive. In conjunction with the manager, the supervisor is responsible for ensuring departmental compliance with the collective agreement(s) and applicable policies, procedures, and code of conduct expectations.
