Job Title : Quality Supervisor

Reporting to : Director of Manufacturing Operations

Role Definition : Liaising with Engineering, Production, Planning and Logistics, Sales, and Purchasing, the Quality Supervisor is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the company’s quality management systems, ensuring products meet customer specifications and regulatory standards. This role collaborates with all areas of the business to deliver high-quality products while complying with AIAG, IPC, AS9100, ISO9001, ISO13485, ISO14001 and other applicable standards.

Responsibilities

Quality Management Systems (QMS)

  • Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the company’s quality management systems, ensuring compliance with AIAG, IPC, AS9100, ISO9001, ISO13485, ISO14001, and other applicable standards.
  • Maintain certifications and manage audits for ISO9001, ISO13485, AS9100, ISO14001, and other relevant industry certifications.
  • Develop and maintain quality documentation, including policies, procedures, processes, forms, and quality manuals.
  • Ensure that all products and processes comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and customer specifications, including AIAG, IPC, AS9100, ISO9001, ISO13485, and ISO14001.
  • Manage the document control system and ensure that all quality-related documents are up-to-date and properly maintained.

Quality Assurance and Control

  • Manage the quality control processes for incoming materials, in-process inspections, and final product testing to ensure conformity with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform root cause analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for any identified quality issues.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, including customer and regulatory audits, ensuring all non-conformances are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Conduct product and process validations in compliance with industry standards, ensuring product reliability and performance.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other relevant methodologies to enhance quality, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
  • Foster a culture of quality throughout the organization by promoting quality awareness and best practices at all levels of the company.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and suggest opportunities for corporate learning and development.

Vendor Management

  • Collaborate with procurement and supply chain to establish vendor quality expectations and perform vendor evaluations, audits, and performance assessments.
  • Address vendor quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions as necessary.

Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Quality certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Manager (CQM), ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma Black Belt, or similar are a plus.
  • Project management certifications such as PMI PMP, PMI CAPM, PMI ACP, PRINCE2, or equivalent are a plus.
  • Experience
    • At least 5 years of experience in a quality management role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in automotive, aerospace, wire harness manufacturing or a related field.
    • Proven experience with QMS such as ISO9001, ISO13485, and / or AS9100.
    • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements and industry standards.
    • Experience in managing audits, both internal and external, and leading CAPA processes.

    Skills

    • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, suppliers, and all levels of the organization.
    • Team-oriented with excellent organizational and personnel management skills.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.
    • Fluently bilingual (English & French).
    • Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies, including SPC, FMEA, root cause analysis, and failure mode analysis.
    • Knowledge of ERP and quality management software systems is a plus.

    Qualification et expérience

    Formation

    • Baccalauréat en génie ou domaine connexe (atout).
    • Certifications qualité jugées comme atouts.
    • Certifications en gestion de projet jugées comme atouts.

    Expérience

    • Minimum 5 ans en gestion de la qualité dans le manufacturier.
    • Expérience SGQ (ISO9001, ISO13485, AS9100).
    • Connaissance des exigences réglementaires et normes.
    • Expérience en audits et CAPA.

    Compétences
