A leading financial institution in Canada seeks a part-time UI Design Intern to assist in designing and developing reusable UI components. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience while collaborating closely with developers. The ideal candidate will be enrolled in a relevant design program, possess basic knowledge of design tools like Figma, and have a passion for UI design. Mentorship and flexible working hours are provided to accommodate academic schedules.
Copenhagen, Denmark
Assist in designing and developing reusable UI components such as buttons, forms, and navigation elements in our Figma component library
Help create and maintain design guidelines and best practices for the design system
Collaborate with developers to ensure seamless implementation of UI components and adherence to design specifications and vice versa
Participate in regular audits of existing UI components and design patterns to identify areas for improvement and consistency
Support the development and upkeep of comprehensive documentation for the design system, including usage guidelines and design patterns
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in UI design and design systems to inform your work
Currently enrolled in a degree program related to Product Design, UX Design, Interaction Design, or a similar field
Basic knowledge of design tools (we use Figma) and principles of UX/UI design
Analytical and systematic thinking skills with attention to detail
Passion for UI design, design systems, components, design patterns, and documentation
Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate within a team environment
A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt
Not afraid to ask questions
