About the team: The Technology Planning and Cooperation Department promotes strategic innovation across all of Huawei Canada. Working with fellow experts, the focus is researching new and upcoming areas of technology as well as strategic planning to help achieve long term vision of Huawei. This department offers a unique opportunity to leverage both technical and business skills.

The Technology Planning and Cooperation Department promotes strategic innovation across all of Huawei Canada. Working with fellow experts, the focus is researching new and upcoming areas of technology as well as strategic planning to help achieve long term vision of Huawei. This department offers a unique opportunity to leverage both technical and business skills.

Responsibilities
  • Develop regional cooperation ecosystems by expanding and maintaining partnerships with academic institutions, fostering a healthy local collaboration environment, and promoting ongoing cooperation between Huawei and key strategic resources.
  • Build a regional cooperation resource pool by expanding high-quality collaboration resources to match the company’s needs, while tracking the latest academic technology trends and identifying innovative ideas for potential cooperation.
  • Ensure compliance in regional cooperation projects by identifying and effectively managing compliance risks, adapting cooperation processes to local requirements, and supporting the lawful and compliant operation of collaboration activities.
Qualifications
  • BS, MSc, or PhD in computer science, software engineering, or computer engineering. Background in R&D or related technical fields.
  • Experience in academia collaboration or partnership-related work.
  • Strong ability in cross-team coordination, project management, and business development.
