ABOUT THE POSITION

With over 430 retail stores worldwide, our Store Leadership Teams are essential to our business. They ensure effective store operations, guide and develop team members, and create memorable customer experiences, supporting the company's mission of Connecting Active People with Their Passions.

As the Store Manager, you will lead a team of store leaders and associates to deliver engaging customer experiences, drive sales, and execute marketing strategies that expand our customer base. You will understand the store's customer base and communicate product needs to influence product assortment. You will plan and direct daily store operations, maintain high standards, foster a positive environment, forecast staffing needs, and develop recruiting strategies. Additionally, you will develop diverse associates and leaders to achieve career and company goals.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

You will lead the store team to hire, develop, and coach diverse staff to meet customer engagement and experience expectations. You will inspire, guide, and develop team members for short-term and long-term growth and career advancement.

  • Lead product merchandising and promotional execution to tell compelling product and brand stories that influence buying decisions.
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive sales, minimize inventory shrinkage, manage expenses within budget, and increase profitability.
  • Ensure effective execution of operating procedures and compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Provide regular feedback and recognition to employees, maintain accurate store records related to hiring, payroll, coaching, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
  • Communicate regularly with the Area/District Manager about market information, product needs, and employee successes or challenges.

YOU HAVE

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree, applicable certification, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience managing store leaders and individual contributors or functioning as a lead.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to resolve operational and organizational issues and make impactful decisions.
  • Proficiency operating Inventory and POS systems and other retail software tools.

JOB CONDITIONS

The environment is often active and physically demanding, requiring movement, lifting items up to 40 lbs., and exposure to dust and noise. Occasional work in place may be required.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Ability to communicate effectively, flexible retail schedule, adherence to local laws regarding availability.

Salary Range: $61,000 - $85,000
