Job summary

Purpose of Position

To provide support services for airport day-to-day operations ensuring the highest level of customer service is delivered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain radio communication with flight crews and ground personnel.
  • Receive and relay information between flight crews, ramp, sales, commissary and maintenance personnel.
  • Plot gate assignments on Gate Management System and plan/coordinate aircraft towing in accordance with gating restrictions to ensure safe movement of aircraft, personnel and passengers.
  • Monitor forecasts and routing changes, forecast all changes in arrival/departure times, notify appropriate personnel and update FIDS/FMIS screens accordingly.
  • Investigate delays and code them in the appropriate Airport Operations systems.
  • Assist in other related duties as instructed by shift manager/supervisor.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with established policies and procedures, prioritizing personal safety and the safety of co-workers and customers.
  • Carry out other related duties as assigned.
Working Conditions
  • This position requires shift work.
  • This role involves extended periods of sitting and working at a computer workstation.
Qualifications
Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Post-Secondary Education is considered an asset.
Certifications/Training
  • Restricted Radio License (preferred).
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
  • Excellent command of the English language both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in working with multi computer screen system.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high stress environment.
  • Excellent multitasking and decision-making skills.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identification ID pass (to be obtained upon employment).
Additional Qualifications
  • Previous customer service experience is preferred.
  • Airline industry experience is considered an asset.
  • Experience using the ALTEA reservation system is an asset.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams is an Asset.
  • French language skills (oral fluency or working knowledge) are an asset.
