We’re looking for a Staff Software Engineer (Platform) to help strengthen and evolve the foundations our product teams rely on. This role focuses on platform capabilities such as reliability, scalability, performance, security, and developer experience.
You’ll work on cross-cutting technical challenges, help guide architectural direction, and support teams as Atlas continues to scale. This is a hands‑on individual contributor role with broad technical ownership and influence, but no people management.
We’re looking for an experienced engineer who enjoys working on foundational systems and is comfortable operating across teams and problem spaces.
You’ll work across our platform stack, with opportunities to focus on areas where you can add the most value.
Experience with distributed systems, developer tooling, cost optimisation, or automation is a plus—but not a requirement.
This role is about making the system better for everyone who builds on it. We care less about ticking every box and more about strong judgment, curiosity, and a pragmatic approach to complex technical problems.
