About the Role

The Staff Accountant plays a key role in managing core accounting processes while also helping us innovate the way we work. You\'ll have exposure to a wide range of responsibilities, from financial reporting and reconciliations to exploring new tools, workflows and AI-enabled solutions that drive efficiency and accuracy. Security Responsibilities
  • Ensure the secure handling of sensitive employee data in HRIS, Payroll, and other systems in compliance with SOC II and other applicable standards.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to support secure onboarding/offboarding processes.
  • Participate in periodic audits and support remediation efforts related to security or compliance gaps within Finance systems or processes.
Access Level

This role does not have access to production environments or customer data. Access is limited to internal Finance systems and employee information.

What You\'ll Be Doing

As a member of the FATCATs (Finance & Accounting, Tactical Corporate Action Team), you\'ll:

  • Complete month, quarter, and year-end close activities, including preparing schedules and journal entries
  • Reconcile bank and general ledger accounts, including payroll and intercompany balances
  • Review department/project coding to ensure accurate expense allocations
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting schedules for audit and tax engagements
  • Produce ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis to support business decisions
  • Drive process improvements, implement new tools, and develop smarter workflows to make the team more efficient
  • Collaborate across teams to design controls and optimize accounting processes, helping the company run smoother every day
A Little Bit About You
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably in a Saas (Software as a Service) company
  • Currently pursuing an accounting designation or are recently designated
  • Strong skills and experience in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
  • Solid grasp of accounting and financial reporting principles (GAAP)
  • Enthusiastic about utilizing AI-enabled tools for tasks such as invoice processing and reconciliations to streamline workflows and enhance data accuracy
  • Proficient with accounting related software (ex: Netsuite, Expensify, or Zendesk)
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Detailed-oriented and strive for maintaining accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
  • Experience with the implementation of new software tools for the team and entire company
