Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a creative storyteller, writer, and collaborator to join the Rogers Brand and Communications team. Reporting to the Senior Director, RCI Communications, you will be responsible for leading and supporting strategic communications initiatives that protect and build the company’s reputation. This role is ideal for a seasoned communicator and strong writer with knowledge of the Canadian telecom and/or entertainment landscape and a passion for influencing diverse audiences – from customers and sports/entertainment fans to employees and investors.

What you\'ll do:
  • Support the development and implementation of corporate communications and reputational strategies, campaigns, and key regional initiatives.
  • A particular focus on writing and editing: digital content, speeches, presentations and other visual materials to ensure a consistent and compelling corporate narrative that reflects leadership in innovation, connectivity, and customer, fan, and audience experience.
  • Proactively drive stories for company announcements, milestones, and thought leadership.
  • Support senior communications leaders in preparing executives for internal and external events, speaking engagements, and other employee-facing and public-facing opportunities.
  • Build trusted, collaborative relationships.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of campaigns.

What you bring:

  • University degree and/or diploma in communications, public relations or journalism.
  • 7+ years’ experience in communications, ideally in corporate, third party, public affairs and/or government roles.
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset.
  • Results-driven, creative and collaborative; thrives in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Expert communication skills – particularly writing – with an ability to simplify complex concepts and issues.
  • Quick, responsive and comfortable working in highly deadline-driven environment while juggling competing priorities and personalities.
  • Strategic thinker with an ability to influence up, down, and across the organizations.
