Position Overview

The Senior Manager of Product Management and Marketing for Fujifilm VisualSonics will be a key driver of product strategy and marketing initiatives, responsible for advancing our ultrasound product portfolio within the preclinical imaging sector. This role demands a visionary leader to guide product lifecycle management, connect technical development with customer needs, and craft impactful marketing strategies that elevate the brand’s market presence and revenue growth. You will oversee a team of Product Managers and marketing specialists that will drive the strategy, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

Essential Job Functions
  • Product Strategy: Develop and refine the product strategy for our marketing initiatives, aligning it with the overall company objectives and market trends.
  • Product Roadmap: Create and maintain a clear product roadmap, outlining short-term and long-term goals, priorities, and timelines for product development.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify customer needs, trends, and competitive intelligence to inform product decisions.
  • Product Development: Collaborate with engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and ongoing product enhancements.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate product updates, progress, and strategy to internal stakeholders, including executives and cross-functional teams.
  • Product Metrics and Analysis: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly analyze product performance, making data-driven decisions to optimize product offerings.
  • Budget Management: Manage and allocate resources effectively to meet product development goals while adhering to budget constraints.
  • Product Marketing Support: Collaborate with the marketing team to create marketing strategies and materials that effectively promote and position our products in the market.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and challenges in product development and formulate mitigation plans.
Knowledge/Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field.
  • 8-10 years of progressive experience in product management and marketing, ideally within the medical device, preclinical imaging, or life sciences technology sectors.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and launching ultrasound or related imaging instrumentation.
  • Deep understanding of the preclinical research market, customer workflows, and competitive landscape while promoting Lean principles.
  • Knowledge of academic research purchasing processes and grant funding cycles.
  • Experience with global product launches and international market dynamics.
Skills/Abilities
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical thinker with experience utilizing market and sales data to drive strategic decisions.
  • Ability to thrive in a mid-sized organization with a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.

Compensation/Benefits
  • Salary Range: The base salary for this position is between $125,000 and $150,000 depending on your skills, experience, and geographic location. Please note that it is uncommon to be hired at or above the top of the salary range.
  • Variable Compensation: Eligible employee pay participate in our performance-based bonus or incentive programs, which vary by role and individual performance.
