As a Sr Data Team Lead within the PCS team at IQVIA, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end delivery of data management services for single/multi-service projects with minimal guidance, ensuring quality deliverables on time and within budget, to customer satisfaction. Provide comprehensive data management expertise to Data Management (DM) team to deliver high-quality data management products that meet customer needs. Provide leadership to the team in project planning, execution, and close-out; overview of financial management for data management activities; communications; and milestone deliverables. Perform role of Data Team Lead (DTL). Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Gather Study Set up requirements through discussion and communication with relevant stakeholders.
- With minimal guidance - support, overview of validation of new device integrations.
- Oversee and/or perform regular data integrity/completeness checks; execute data cleaning activities to ensure quality data and timely delivery to internal & external recipients.
- Ensure all deliverables meet expected quality standards and customer expectations.
- With guidance, ensure service and quality meet agreed upon timelines and deliverables in contract/SOW.
- Support training of new joiners.
- Lead internal study meetings and internal/sponsor audits and participate in Study Kickoff meetings and other sponsor meetings.
- Track and manage projects, oversee project progress, identify risks, and take corrective action as required.
- Author Data Transfer Specifications (DTS), Data Transfer Agreements (DTA) and other standard data management documents; disseminate deliverables to stakeholders for feedback and sign-off.
- With guidance manage and oversight the implementation of new technology / database revisions.
- Work closely with the programming team for process innovation and automation.
- Be compliant to trainings and SOP reading.
- Provide review and expert opinion in developing, revising, and maintaining adherence to core operating procedures and working instructions.
- Communication with Line Manager and other team members across functions should be collaborative.
- Perform other duties as directed by Line Manager.
About You / Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Candidates interested in joining our Patient Centered Solutions team as a Sr Data Team Lead should have:
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server relational databases; hands-on programming experience generating data outputs using SQL Server Management Studio and PowerQuery.
- Experience with cloud-hosted data storage system topologies, including IaaS and PaaS service models such as AWS and Microsoft Azure.
- Ability to incorporate detailed change-control documentation and communication practices into all system design/modification tasks. Experience applying DevOps principles and developing CI/CD.
- Experience using cross-platform frameworks such as React-Native is a plus.
- Proven problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- A self-starting mindset with excellent team-based interpersonal skills and ability to work independently with a wide range of colleagues (technical, operational, etc.).
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 applications. Willingness to learn additional skills as needed, e.g., SAS, R, Power BI.
- Ability to build strong business relationships and influence key stakeholders at all levels within the business.
- Ability to rapidly assimilate multiple types of information from various sources for effective decision making.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills including grammatical/technical writing.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to confidently communicate with and effectively present information to the internal team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple tasks and projects.
- Strong initiative, strong organizing skills, and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work within a team environment and establish/maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients.
Minimum Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics or a related discipline, or equivalent + 3 years related experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent + 5 years work experience.
