RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Marketing Director - CMH, the Senior Brand Manager - CMH will be accountable for ensuring pre‑launch milestones are being met to enable our successful launch in chronic weight management (CWM) or Diabetes.

You will play a critical role in developing the launch plans; from thought leader engagement, environmental shaping, go to market strategy, consumer activation and other deliverables related to the launch. You will work closely with global, International Business Unit (IBU), and local cross functional teams to lead the development and implementation of our launch plans, brand strategy and tactics.

At Lilly Canada, we have different levels of Brand Manager positions based on the candidate’s experience, background, and qualifications. The expected compensation for this role will be:

  • Brand Manager: $91,500 – $134,200
  • Senior Brand Manager: $111,750 – $163,900

This role is eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as participation in the Lilly Bonus Program.

The Sr Brand Manager - CMH is specifically responsible for:
  • Driving the strategic development and implementation of our molecule in CWM or Diabetes.
  • Informing and supporting our continued transformation agenda and institutionalizing commercial shifts necessary to successfully deliver on the CWM or Diabetes strategy.
  • Gaining deep customer insights across patients, payers and HCPs to inform our brand strategy in a rapidly evolving market.
  • Partnering cross‑functionally to develop consumer marketing strategy that will drive consumer activation through paid, earned, shared, owned media and private ecosystem partnerships that deliver end‑to‑end consumer journeys in CWM or T2D.
  • Leadership of the customer planning process and operational plan process for pre‑Health Canada Approval (NOC) and post NOC activities.
  • Partnering with the Global and IBU teams to ensure alignment on strategy and efficient use of common resources.
  • Driving and leading the launch preparation partnership process in collaboration with the cross functional local and global teams.
  • Managing the overall commercial brand budget for pre and post launch.
  • Driving innovative thinking across the cross functional team for a bold and comprehensive pre and post launch Omnichannel (OCE) plans.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • University degree.
  • 5+ years of marketing related experience required.
  • Experience with brand management and launching new products.
  • Extensive omnichannel marketing experience.
  • Teamwork and leadership – proven ability to partner with and engage others towards a common goal.
  • Experimentation and Risk Taking – proven track record of pursuing non-conventional/innovative ways to meet customer needs and enhance the customer experience.
  • Learning agility and high comfort with change in a high-stake environment.
  • Project Management – ability to manage detailed, complex projects.
  • Business acumen skills – budget management, strategic trade-offs, development and monitoring of lead measures.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
ADDITIONAL SKILLS/PREFERENCES
  • Consumer marketing experience an asset.
  • Pharmaceutical marketing experience an asset.
  • TA experience: Understanding metabolic disorders and the competitive environment in CWM and Diabetes an asset.
  • Bilingualism is an asset.
Location

This is a hybrid role – onsite presence at our Toronto office will be 10 days or more per month (or at least 50% of the time), determined in collaboration with your manager and based on business needs.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is $68,250 - $158,400.

Full-time equivalent employees may also be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
