Arc’teryx Japan team is seeking a passionate and experienced sports marketing manager to lead the athlete portfolio development, as well as overseeing community strategy and KOL strategy. Through those initiatives, we want to grow Arc’teryx brand awareness and improve guest engagement.
Athletes & Ambassadors
- Athletes/ambassador relationship
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Arc'teryx sports marketing strategy that aligns with global direction and the overall business objectives.
- Plan and execute athletes push promotion throughout year.
- Control and maintain athletes, influencers, and community ambassador portfolio.
- Be responsible for contract control with athletes, influencers, and community ambassadors.
- Actively seek target assets to strengthen the athlete portfolio.
- Stay connected with the global Sports Marketing team to reflect global best practices into the Japanese retail environment.
- Coordinate global athletes visits in Japan.
Event Planning
- In charge of planning events, optimizing our assets.
- Initiate mid-term planning of our Academy event in Japan.
- Manage contractors (agencies and production companies) and seek the best players in the field.
Key Relationships
- Global: Sports Marketing and Brand Marketing departments
- Local: Wholesale Sales, Retail Marketing, Merchandising, Brand Marketing
- External partners: agencies and production companies
KPIs
- Athlete Events
- Retail and wholesale activation
- Customer engagement metrics
- Compliance to marketing budget guidelines
- Annual and monthly marketing budget forecast accuracy
Requirements
- Education: 4-year bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Art & Design or a related field.
- Work experience: 7+ years of experience in sport marketing, with a proven track record of success
- Language skills: Proficiency in Japanese and English (both written and spoken) is required.
