Job summary

A local non-profit organization in Ontario is seeking volunteer sport coaches for various activities including bowling, basketball, and softball. Coaches will attend weekly practices and are expected to encourage athletes to perform their best. Candidates must be aged between 18 and 54, willing to undergo a background check, and complete Safe Sport training. Coaching opportunities are available throughout the sport season at the Alliston location.

Job description

Summary

Volunteer sport coaches are the foundation of our programming. Special Olympics South Simcoe offers 5‑pin bowling, basketball, bocce and softball.

Description

Volunteer coaches attend weekly practices throughout the sport season. A knowledge of the sport is helpful, but it’s all about encouraging our athletes to do their very best! Volunteers receive a police check or VSS and complete Safe Sport training; further coach development opportunities are available.
