Responsibilities
  • Speech-Language Pathologist working as a member of a multidisciplinary team at an inclusive education school; supporting students with different communication needs
  • Neurodiversity-affirming assessment and therapy (individual and group), and consultation with school-based team, parents, and other professionals
  • Knowledge and interest in the areas of AAC, GLP, sensory / regulation, SSD, literacy, and evidence-based language interventions
  • General caseload information: students in grades K-12 with individual education plans (modified or adapted curriculum); diagnoses may include autism, learning disability, intellectual disability, genetic syndrome
Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Licensed with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC (or conditional license based on passing licensing exam)
Job Specifics

Days of work based on a 10 month school calendar (September-June)

School days run 8:30 – 3:30, Monday-Thursday; 8:30 – 12:30 Friday (0.88 position if no Fridays)
