Responsibilities

• The speech-language pathologist must have knowledge and understanding of a variety of cognitive and communication disorders affecting children and adults.
• Competently diagnoses problems, designs and implements appropriate treatment programs, and communicates effectively with patients/families, team members, and payers as needed.
• Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development and the ability to assess and interpret age specific data and incorporate into patient care.
• Serves as an active member of the team in providing appropriate recommendations and referrals to meet the patients’ individual needs.

Qualifications

• Masters degree or equivalent in communication disorders.
• California State License for speech pathology and CPR/AED is required.
• Applicants with current BLS may be hired, but must obtain AHA CPR/AED within thirty days of employment.
