We are seeking a global Specialist, Global Compensation to join our Compensation team and support the implementation, administration, and governance of compensation programs across multiple countries. Reporting to the Director, Global Compensation & Payroll, this role will work closely with business partners, the Talent team, and local stakeholders to ensure competitive, equitable, and compliant compensation practices worldwide.

This position is both operational and analytical, offering strong exposure to global compensation activities as well as stakeholder support. The role is intended for a strong, experienced professional with real leadership potential and the ability to take ownership of complex mandates in a fast-paced environment.

As a Specialist, Global Compensation, you will:

Compensation

Compensation analysis, market studies, and job evaluation

  • Conduct market analyses and benchmarking using salary surveys and external data sources.
  • Analyze internal compensation data to assess market competitiveness and internal equity.
  • Develop recommendations for salary adjustments, promotions, and hiring offers.
  • Ensure alignment of job levels and classifications across departments and regions.

Annual compensation cycles

  • Contribute to the planning and execution of annual compensation processes, including merit increases, bonus payouts, and salary adjustments.
  • Prepare communications, tools, and training related to compensation cycles for managers and HR partners.

Annual bonuses / sales incentive plans

  • Support the planning and execution of annual bonus and incentive plan processes.

Project Management

  • Participate in compensation-related projects such as pay transparency, incentive program design, and global compensation strategy.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and Finance to ensure compensation strategies are aligned throughout the employee lifecycle.

Benefits administration

  • Oversee the administration of employee benefit programs, including group insurance plans (health, dental, vision), retirement plans, and other benefits.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance of benefit programs, particularly in the United States and Canada.

Program renewal and evolution

  • Oversee renewal processes, including communications, system updates, and support to the Talent & Culture teams.
  • Analyze and recommend improvements to benefit programs based on organizational objectives and market trends.
  • Foster team performance by developing internal talent, encouraging cross-functional collaboration, and maximizing existing capabilities.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors as part of payroll audit processes.

What makes you an asset to our team

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Industrial Relations, Finance, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in global compensation
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Experience working in a complex, high-growth, or high-pressure environment
  • Strong prioritization skills, autonomy, and ability to deliver within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, influencing leadership, and ability to simplify complex concepts
  • High level of rigor, integrity, discretion, and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work with highly confidential data
  • Bilingualism in French and English, both written and spoken
  • Experience with an HRIS (Workday, SAP, Dayforce, or similar) – a strong asset
