We are currently seeking a Specialist Engineer, Mine Planning to join our Long-term Mine Planning Team. This is a permanent position.
As the Specialist Engineer, Mine Planning, you’ll lead the development and implementation of comprehensive Underground Life of Mine (LOM) plans, ensuring the efficient and sustainable extraction of base metals. You will oversee the creation of detailed LOM plans, incorporating geological, geotechnical, and economic data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including geology, geotech, operations, metallurgy, and environmental departments, to optimize mine design and production schedules. Regular reviews and updates of LOM plans will be conducted to reflect changing conditions and new data. Utilizing advanced mining software and tools to model and simulate mining scenarios, you will provide expert technical support and lead the mentorship of junior engineers and other team members. Ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, you will prepare and present reports and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
