A leading mining company in Canada is seeking a candidate with a Master's or PhD in mining, metallurgical, or geoscience engineering. This role involves developing AI solutions to optimize the mining value chain while collaborating with various teams. Candidates should have 1 to 5 years of experience with machine-learning models and be fluent in both French and English. A hybrid work schedule is possible, along with opportunities for travel within Canada and internationally.

The Support and Development Center provides services to Agnico Eagle's various Canadian and international mining operations in a variety of areas, including administration, financial services, IT, supply chain, human resources, communications, construction as well as technical services (geology, engineering, metallurgy, infrastructure, marketing, innovation and digital transformation).
Reporting to the R&D Metallurgy Advisor, you will primarily be involved in processing data from the development of various projects, including images, physical measurements and performance indicators. You will support project managers and specialists in analysing this data by extracting additional information, illustrating trends and modelling for performance prediction. You will contribute to the development and implementation of processes and measures to improve and optimise the mining value chain, working closely with the digital transformation team. You will also support various Agnico Eagle divisions and develop your expertise within an experienced innovation team and multidisciplinary project teams (geology, mining, infrastructure, environment, digital transformation).
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. A 5‑2‑4‑3 schedule is possible.
You can work in one of AEM's offices closer to your home, located in Rouyn‑Noranda, Preissac, Val‑d’Or, Mirabel or Toronto. A hybrid work schedule is also possible, allowing you to work some days from an AEM office and some days remotely.
Available to travel to Canada, Finland, Australia and Mexico.
