Job summary

A staffing agency specializing in engineering roles is seeking a Software Test Engineer in Markham, Ontario. In this contract position, you'll be responsible for executing and automating test cases for ADAS controllers, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring high-quality documentation of results. The role offers a hybrid model with three days onsite and two days remote.   • Pay range: $49.00 - $50.25
Job Responsibilities
  • Execute black box test cases to validate basic functions of ADAS controllers
  • Automate test cases use engineering test methodologies.
  • Maintain & improve documentation during and after testing
  • Troubleshoot & investigate automated test and controller issues
  • Ability to anticipate problems & issues and recommend solutions to problems
  • Prepare test results and reports with the highest industry standard
  • Ability to modify calibration and/or test script to meet the validation requirement
  • Ability to use and develop test script and automation
  • Ability to use AI tools in testing activities
Job Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • Prefer 5 years of embedded or controlled software testing
  • Experience with tools like Python and test automation methodologies
  • Experience with CAN/Ethernet communication protocols and test tools
  • Experience with Calibration and/or Validation Development
  • Experience in INCA/CANoe/ Vetor CANalyzer / Vspy
  • Experience in a fast-moving environment and capable of meeting stringent deadlines
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to perform test automation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Aptitude for learning, professional development and enjoys being a team player
