Working with large scale distributed systems and orchestrating the entire retail ordering workflow, the Ordering team seeks strong software development engineers who can dive deep into abstract problems and design innovative solutions to keep our platform ready for current and future challenges.

SDEs at Amazon work on real world problems on a global scale, own their systems end to end, and influence the direction of our technology that impacts hundreds of millions of customers around the world. You can expect to design flexible and scalable solutions and tackle some of the most complex challenges in large-scale computing by applying data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming. Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end design and development of systems within the Ordering platform.
  • Analyze and solve problems at scale, delivering robust, scalable solutions.
  • Collaborate across teams to drive architecture and implementation decisions.
  • Contribute to the evolution of software design and engineering practices.
Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
